Reading up before starting a website project

I`m about to get into a web development project to put together a site for my new online retail business. I came across an ebook - http://websiteprojectebook.com/Just wondering if anyone has read it and if it`s worthwhile. Are there any other similar resources/books that educate entrepreneurs on the web development project process and how to work with programming firms? I see many blog posts but no books on thisThanks for advise.

Yeah, I`ve read that one. Great views but seem a bit skewed towards the technology these guys are pushing - Ruby on Rails.
