Looking for expansion of my business. Any suggestions?

Hi There,
I and my partner have been working on a great business idea
(mobile apps). I think we need to expand the team to take the idea to a
prototype stage and secure funding. Our problem is that we have very limited
funds and we are hard core developers ourselves. I am hesitant to set-up an
office as I am afraid that I will take on significant liability (rental bills
etc.) and operational overheads will eat into our quality time. What is the right
way of doing this? Any suggestions?

Hello,
What kind of talent you need to hire?
I can certainly understand your concerns about adding expenses.
Perhaps "prototype" is not the optimum next stage for you. Consider what sequence would be appropriate to enable you to acquire some capital first.
If you want to discuss your situation (in confidence) send me a PM or contact me directly.
Have you tried incubation centers around?
Have you looked at outsourcing options?
R u serious?

they will possibly put fresh trainees on the job and use
your project as a guinea pig for testing!
(A) This is scary stuff. Are we saying that there is no way
for a start-up to outsource work?
a start-up to outsource work?
Have been following this thread. You need to select the right outsourcing model. It can not be time & material based or fixed price as you will be a looser in the end under both these models. Either you will loose your team or have a perpetual dependence on your partner. You need to have the partner sign-up for build-operate-transfer model.
Any comments? Does anyone have experience working with them? Any feedback will be appreciated.
