Ice cream parlor / eatery

I am interested in opening an ice cream parlor/ eatery in my area. I think with the summer months uproaching us that I would get some great business, after all who doesn`t like ice cream and with the on the go lifestyle we are all leading everybody eats out once in a while. I was wondering, for all you seasoned entrepeneurs out there who have brick-n-morytar business, did you find it hard to find a location for your business`? Is there lots of red tape you have to cut through?

Research is the best way before you do your thing, you research on your area, you research on your consumers.Who is the target really? The success of your shop will depend on your location mostly, if the location is bad then there`s no boost for that, but you can do ice cream stands though, on the beach, on the park.. look for areas where there are really people coming in and out...
Goodluck!
