I have an alternative approach to that. I recommend that you create something. A quick how to guide, a short instructional video, a PDF offering key information or even a free product demonstration! The goal here is to create something that will not cost you much of anything, in the way of time, that you can give away for free. The goal here is to offer your TARGET audience something of value and the convertible leads you REALLY want WILL trade you their emails to get it! (Some people like to push for first & last names, I recommend first at most.) That's where a little buddy called "MailChimp" comes in.
MailChimp.com is an email marketing service that will record, track and organize your email lists, and send out targeted emails and pre-selected follow up emails to your email list as you designate. Yes, MailChimp is awesome! But either way, what you're doing here is creating a Sales Funnel. You are building familiarity with your audience and target client directly in their home inbox.
The goal here is for your clients to buy from you with confidence again and again. Furthermore you build the foundation for your customers to tell their friends and associates about you and your product. NO better form of marketing has a higher return rate that good old word of mouth.
