LLC: Hiring Subcontractors

I have an LLC and am considering hiring a couple of good people as 1099 subcontractors.  Is there special paperwork that I have to file with the government and are there any implications to doing so that I should be careful with?

Yes,
You need to be careful how you define and manage their positions.  Their can be a fine line between and employee ( for which you would have to pay payroll taxes ) and independent contract employees.
