What should I expect when partnering with a marketing Agency?

Hello everyone!!
I'm a restaurant owner in Los Angeles and my business is beginning to grow and I need help with marketing. I recently got in contact with Gia Studio Marketing Agency they help small businesses in LA/OC and they said to offer help with social media, digital ads, google search results etc.
I've never worked with a marketing agency let alone Gia Studio has anyone heard of them? Or recommend any other agencies in LA area? Also, what kind of results should I expect? Will anything be required on my end? What's been your experience working with an agency? And yes I have a lot of questions, I'm a chef first! lol.
