Where do I find potential customers for my business (small marketing budget)?

This is a huge challenge for most of us running small businesses or early stage startups

At Prelo, a couple of places where we've found potential customers are

βœ… We've found LinkedIn to be very useful

βœ… We've also used reddit and facebook groups

The challenge πŸ₯‡ we've found with linkedin has always been that you need to have a premium account to leverage the features that allow you to be specific and access your target audience

We advise staying away from paid advertising on LinkedIn, most experts in the PPC πŸ’ΈπŸ“ˆ space say LinkedIn is perhaps one of the more expensive paid ads on social media

Typically facebook groups are awesome, we perform various tests which we call A/B testing with imagery and copy on facebook before we launch our paid ads.

Once we're happy with our copy (text) and image, since we don't have a lot of cash we have to be extremely specific about our target audience on facebook before launching a paid ad campaign. We also use some of the data from facebook to generate PPC ads on google.

Since we found all this quite painful and somewhat arduous, we decided to help small businesses unlock hidden business opportunities in the Startup πŸš€ space by creating Prelo.. it's still in Beta but we're growing.

If you're a small business selling to other businesses (B2B) , Prelo uses data signals to identify decision makers. Our beta partners are finding it extremely useful

You may want to join our beta partnership programme (closes this week though)

Hope someone finds this useful 😊
