Is it bad to put ".com" in your trademark registration?

If I have a business selling blue widgets should I register "blue widgets" or "bluewidgets.com"?

And second question- if someone has registered "blue widgets" and I register "bluewidgets.com" is that enough of a distinction?

I'm talking about trademark registration as in uspto.gov.
