    Well written and well said. So what Google wants is preety obvious. It wants the sites to grow naturally, anything that can give us a shortcut would be negative either today or tomorrow. So keep doing the hard work and eventually it will pay off.

    I see you have a lot of good tips here. I think one overlying problem is that anxious entrepreneurs build backlinks just to build backlinks instead of spending their time building awesome content. Great content will collect up way better backlinks naturally and will be better than a slew of blog comments and off target directories.
