Amazon FBA Program - Do Third Party Sellers Need To Rethink It?

The Amazon FBA Program could be scary news for small business owners and start up businesses. Do third party sellers need to think the FBA Program over?

Hey Kevin. This is absolutely horrible service. The thing is, we don't expect Amazon to look after anyone but Amazon.
That's the reason why we grow our Amazon business & our brand alongside our own ecommerce store. Amazon is using 3rd party sellers to make money and sell stuff. We as 3rd party sellers use Amazon anyway in exchange for a highly visible marketplace.
BUT all the control is on the side of Amazon. It's just prudent to build a strong brand while we're still on their platform.
I agree with what you've posted, Chief Gorilla. If you're able to gain visibility selling on Amazon, while building your brand on your own ecommerce site, it seems as though you've hit on a winning combination.
Of course the question then is, how do you DO that? Does the additional visibility come from the visibility of your brand name on Amazon?
Thanks!
