Confirmation Statement and Annual Tax Return

Hi,
I had to fire my accountant. Now that I'm coming to first year of trading (6 September) my deadline for filing the Confirmation Statement is approaching (19 September). Do I need to file Confirmation Statement and Annual Tax Return at the same time?
Can also anyone recommend a decent accountant who won't break my bank? I haven't sold much this year apart from a couple of t-shirts, all money I've invested were used to build the company and pay for products. I haven't paid myself, everything is being invested in growing the business and expanding the range.
