What is an acceptable rate for a licensing agent

RoobleeRooblee subscriber Posts: 1 Member
I have an invention which I've taken past prototype stage and am now keen to launch.

I really don't want to get too much into the business aspect, as I'm more of a designer, and would prefer to license off my idea & concentrate my efforts on the creation of other concepts.

Therefore, does anyone have average costs of what to expect to pay a licensing agent.
- Upfront fees to the agent??
- Initial contract amount and ongoing % royalty that I would expect to receive from interested party if it were licensed?
- % of this contract amount and royalties that the agent would receive?

I'm a well experienced engineer with over 30 years' experience in design, mfg. etc. and can take the inventions to a relatively advanced stage- ( i.e. concept design, 3d modelling, prototyping, 3d printing, tooling etc.)
Therefore I hope that the agent fees will be minimal??
Wish-full thinking, eh!!!

Any feedback or advice will be gratefully received.
Cheers.
