Is bounce rate helpful in website ranking? Or what is the use of exit rate?

Bounce rate impact on the ranking of keywords... If your bounce rate is high than it could be a big reason of dropping your keywords on SERP... And exit rate is the percentage of user that exit your site from any specific page and that is called the exit rate of that specific page..

If you are offering any services then you must create a thankyou page. If you have a contact form on the webpage then after filling the form redirect user on thankyou page. This will help you in reducing the bounce rate..

High exit rate means the page is either designed as an "ending" page or it's missing instructions on how to proceed.

Bounce rate really depends on your website, if you are a blog then you can expect high bounce rates when people simply find what they are looking for in the post and leave.
