I am working on our company website Nimblechapps from last 2 years. Sometime, I am getting huge difference in traffic. Is there any way I can get how does Alexa algorithm work?

No. It is not possible to know about the working nature of Alexa's algorithm. Only one thing which I can suggest is that try to minimize your website's alexa rank less than 1,00,000.

Alexa measures the traffic on your website and provide a numerical value to rank your domain in search engines. Alexa rank can be improved by good content update and also by building backlinks from other relevant sources.

As much I know about Alexa, it's algorithm is based on 3 factors i.e

1. page views
2. bounce rate and
3. time spent upon website by a user.

Work on all these three and your Alexa will be decreased dramatically. So people say that F5 F5 F5....... also help in decreasing Alexa but at a very small point.
