Burn Rate

Hi All,
I'm curious to take a poll of the community as to how people are managing their businesses. Do you seek growth at all costs (i.e. huge burn rate), or do you like to prove a profitable business model before scaling up? I think about this all the time and see pros and cons to each side.
Curious to know... who out there is running a huge burn to get growth and who's proving profitability before really scaling up.
Cheers
