Where to go to have products manufactured in China

I`m interested in going from retail to wholesale, and having the wholesale products made in China from a prototype.  I`m in the initial stages of researching and would like advice on where you go to have products manufactured.  These are non-electronic, gift items.  I have the prototypes, but don`t know how to make the contacts.  Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

If you contact me I can put you in touch with my manufacturer and rep from China.to see if they can fill your needs. I started out with a US manufacturer, but switched because the savings is very substantial.

China-Buy.com might be helpful as they get in the manufacturers' faces for their customers. Limited specialisation though.

I would recommend Global Sources too. Not only you can find more trust-worthy suppliers, you can actually get some free education on how to source!
