Why do you want to increase your Alexa rank? For what purpose?

I can understand that a high Alexa rank can be seen as an indicator of high value website, but why not focus on building a better website? You'll eventually get a better ranking that way. Or do you intend to sell a website?

The suggestions you tried on google were probably spot on but they did not attach a time expectation. Things do happen fast online and google is getting faster and faster but these things still take time. I would say follow those suggestions and do so consistently for a good 3-6 months before you check to see if its working or not.

If you're asking for alexa ranking then increasing traffic on your website is the only way to get good alexa ranking.

But if you're asking for Page rank then its not worth any more. In past months google had officially shut down its PR checker tool.
