Domain Authority and search engine strength

I am new to these concepts but overall am I right to assume that the higher your Domain Authority is the better all your webpages will rank in the search engine listings?

Yeah, that's correct. Basically search engines want to balance the relevance of a specific page (i.e. how well it matches the user's query) with the likelihood that the page is good quality (i.e. how often people link to the site in general).
