Starting a business. Any advice?
I'm starting a business using funds from donations. Raised $200 in a few days, I'm pretty excited. I have a lot planned like a website and a place locally to sell from. This project is in it's infancy right now and any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Re: Market Research
Re: Market Research
Some ways to that have worked well in the past for me have been...
- Posting in Facebook groups and/or forums
- Offering incentives
- Keeping the survey simple and short (i.e., multiple-choice questions, 10 or less questions, etc.)
Re: LinkedIn Spamming
If you’re a B2B marketer who uses social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, you should know the etiquette of using this platform. Do not send unwanted promotional messages, links, or sales-y pitches that people reject right away.
LinkedIn has also introduced “New Weekly Invitation Limits” to control the activity of spammers. According to these new restrictions, users cannot send more than 100 invites per week.
According to LinkedIn, the purpose of new restrictions is that people don’t send invites and messages to prospects blindly. Instead, they understand them properly and send them personalized messages.
Re: LinkedIn Tools
Cloud-based LinkedIn tools are important because of the following reasons:
- 100% Safe Campaigns
- Provide the human touch
- Increased ROI
- Ease-of-use
- Targeting the Right Customers
- Send Personalized Messages
Cloud based LinkedIn automation tools are becoming popular among B2B marketers for all good reasons. You can choose one based on running 100% safe campaigns. Select a tool that has everything that we have described above.
Need advice on building an app
I’m new to this board and looking for advice. I’m looking to build a photo-sharing iPhone app but I don’t know how to code myself. I’ve thought about hiring developers, but I sort of want someone to help me think through the software part of the idea before jumping in. Does anyone know of any good resources for this?
Thanks!

Suggestions for payment providers/platforms of our business
We are looking for a payment provider that can help us solve our biggest problem. Our company is based in Hong Kong and we are currently using PayPal and Worldpay. 90% of our customers are based in the US, meaning that every transaction counts as an international transaction.
Most US cards don’t allow for international payments and seem to be even stricter when it come to payments going to china. Result: 40% of our payments get declined by the card issuing bank. Once the customer calls his bank and clears the payment it goes through but only few customer do that.
So we are looking for an alternative payment provider that can help us solve this problem. Most likely we have to find a way to process payments domestically in order to avoid this problem and are looking for solutions.
Has anybody had experiences with similar situations?
Trademark, Patent, or Copyright?
If someone`s starting a clothing line, they would only need to trademark the logo, right? To my understanding, logos are trademarked, inventions are patented, and any written materials (i.e., songs, books, etc) are copyrighted. Please let me know if I`ve got this right.
Thanks,
